About Assistance With Travel Transport Arrangements Services
Transport enables participants to access disability support outside their home, and toachieve the goals in their plan.
This support item allows a participant to pay a provider to transport them to an activity thatis not itself a support - or to a support that is delivered by another provider. This enables theparticipant to travel to and from appointments or their place of work. As well as forspecialised transport services for a participant to a school, educational facility, employment,or the community.
Travel assistance allows participants to complete daily tasks and meet their needs to live sustainably. Caring Hands & CO Disability Services can help you improve your daily living, including the following tasks:
Learn to use public transport
Shop for groceries with a Support Worker
Pick up a prescription from the local chemist
Attend your appointments
Get involved in community events, groups, or clubs
Visit the park or library
